Treasure hunting is one of the most popular games: who doesn't like searching for treasure, solving puzzles and trials and having fun with friends? Based on search and cooperation, it is a popular game to entertain children but also for teens and adults. In recent years, treasure hunts have become very popular among those who want to organise immersive and alternative events or entertainment for groups of friends or to organise a birthday party.
The Enigmap treasure hunt is interactive and ready-to-print: you just have to choose where to play and print the PDFs on your home printer, because we've taken care of the rest.
How do you play the Enigmap treasure hunt?
In order to play, each team/player needs a smartphone with an internet connection.
Choose a GAME FIELD. It can be your country, the neighbourhood you live in, your garden or your house. Then it identifies where to place the printed sheets of the individual stages.
Prepare THE MAP. Each team/player will need a map to find the stages you have placed on the playing field and solve the puzzles. You can create the map in 2 ways:
- Use Enigmap's "play in teams" mode. Players will receive directions to the stages automatically on their smartphone or tablet. Click here and find out how.
- Alternatively, use Google Maps. Print out a satellite map of the playing field and with pen and marker mark the stages on the map. Remember to write down the names of the individual stages as well.
PRINT the individual stage sheets. All stage sheets have a 'stage code' that will take you to the page with the puzzle to solve. The clues returned by the platform should then be collected and noted down to discover the final solution.
Before the start of the game, place the printed STAGE sheets on the playing field. In highly visible places, there is no need to hide them, the fun is in reaching the stages and solving the puzzles with the smartphone.
Our little suggestion. If you play in teams, make yourself recognisable in some way: jerseys of the same colour, caps, cuffs with coloured pieces of cloth. This will make it easier to recognise your own team members and thus avoid helping your opponents!
