THE TRUFFLE DOG

Paper (even newspaper), something that has a strong and recognizable smell (e.g., onion, garlic, gorgonzola, coffee, vinegar, etc…), a team basket or bucket.

Paper balls are prepared with something with a very strong smell inside (e.g., onion, garlic, gorgonzola, coffee, vinegar, etc...), a different "smell" is then assigned per team. The balls are scattered on the ground on the chosen playing field. When play begins, players must approach the balls and smell them without touching them. If they think they have found the ball with their team's assigned smell, they pick it up and put it in their team's basket or bucket. Once touched, the ball must be carried back to the basket or bucket.

The team that, after a certain time, has found the most balls with the right odor. A penalty may be given for each ball with the wrong odor.
