A box of matches, about 120 pieces of wood, a container. The number of pieces of wood may vary depending on the number of participants.

Description

The 120 pieces of wood should be scattered on the ground, within about 10 feet. One player (the captain) lights a match and, when it is about to go out, he lights another one; meanwhile the other players must collect 100 twigs for the captain, so that he or she can keep warm all winter long. Pieces of wood should be collected in the time that two matches burn. Only the first match is lit using the box, the second match will have to be lit with the first one while it is still burning.
